Assynt: Stoer, Lochinver & Inchnadamph

Sports

The Geopark currently has one leisure centre in Lochinver. In addition, there are leisure centres and swimming pools in the gateway towns of Ullapool and Bettyhill. Badminton and football facilities are available at Coigach Community Hall, Durness Village Hall, Lochinver, Scourie and Kinlochbervie High School.

Highland Gatherings take place during the summer months at Coigach, Lochinver and Durness. These include traditional field sports such as tossing the caber and a hill race. The gatherings also feature piping, Highland dancing, a range of stalls and events for all ages. For more information on these and other local sporting events, contact your local tourist information centres at Durness or Assynt.
